The deadline to register is 20 days before the election.
How Does Absentee Voting Work?
Absentee voting guidelines are that an absentee ballot can be obtained up until noon on the day before a state election or 5pm on the day before a town election. We would recommend getting the ballot earlier as a courtesy to the town clerk’s office.
On the absentee ballot you will attest “absence from the city or town, physical disability, or religious belief” as the reason you require the absentee ballot.
Absentee ballots are available about 3 weeks before town elections.
